My "Someday" became June 20, 2015

"I love to see the Temple.
I'm going there someday
To feel the Holy Spirit,
To listen and to pray.
for the temple is a house of God,
A place of love and beauty.
I'll prepare myself while I am you;
This is my sacred duty.
I love to see the temple.
I'll go inside someday.
I'll covenant with my Father;
I'll promise to obey.
For the temple is a holy place
Where we are sealed together.
As a child of God, I've learned this truth:
A family is forever."

This is the Payson Utah Temple, it was dedicated June 7, 2015. As you can see, it is a very beautiful temple and I fell in love with it when I had the opportunity to walk through it during the open house. My wonderful roommates and I decided to drive up from Snow College and go see it. Even though it wasn't dedicated, you could still feel the spirit. We all found ourselves speechless and crying by the time we had walked into the Celestial room! At that moment I knew I would be going back, I didn't know when but I knew I would.
Well the time came to get my recommend and make an appointment. My original plan was to go through the Jordan River Temple but it was closed for cleaning. So, I called the Payson temple. It took a few tries but finally I got an appointment for June 20, 2015 at 4:45!! I was so excited! The day came and I tried very hard not to be nervous. I had all my family and friends surrounding me whether they were with me at the temple, out of the state, or beyond the veil. While we were driving down to Payson I said a quick prayer and asked Heavenly Father if he would help me feel the spirit and His love while I was there. As I walked through the doors I was not nervous and I knew that I was doing what Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want all of us to do: Follow them.
I definitely felt the spirit. I know that I did the right thing and that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are happy that I chose to receive my endowment. The Payson Temple will always have a special place in my heart but more importantly, the temple is where I will always turn to seek guidance and peace. The temple is a holy place and I truly do "love to see the temple".

My mother and I right after we finished! :)
